Dupré Logistics hosts annual Colloquium: Brian Beaulieu’s keynote offers industry and economic insights

HOUSTON. On Oct. 30, Dupré Logistics, LLC hosted its annual Colloquium featuring a presentation by Brian Beaulieu, CEO of ITR Economics, an economic forecaster that provides analysis of trends to drive practical and profitable business decisions.
Beaulieu’s presentation provided insights and context into recent and expected market conditions to the Dupré customers in attendance. His presentation was preceded by an opportunity for Dupré’s staff to spend time with customers and build on the company’s “Always Forward Thinking” philosophy.
“Our Colloquium is another opportunity to provide added value to our partners. Brian’s insights provided a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with our customers in planning for our collective futures,” said Mike Weindel, president of Dupré Logistics. “We are grateful for the opportunity to continue this event, which has been a Dupré tradition for 18 years.”
Beaulieu has provided accurate, action-oriented foresight as an economist with ITR since 1982. He became CEO of the company in 1987. Prior to joining ITR Economics, Brian served as an economist for the US Department of Labor, where he worked on the health-care component of the Consumer Price Index. Brian has coauthored, with Alan Beaulieu, the books Prosperity in the Age of Decline, Make your Move, and, for children, But, I Want It!.
“The Colloquium provides a unique opportunity for us to extend our client relationships from daily collaboration and planning to stepping back and taking time to opening our minds to new possibilities and conversations beyond the industry,” said Reggie Dupré, CEO.
Prior to Beaulieu’s presentation, Loren Carriere introduced the work of Hope for Opelousas, a non-profit that Dupré Logistics and many of the company’s customers have supported since its inception over ten years ago. Serving as the organization’s Executive Director, Carriere leads the HFO staff, volunteers and board of the life-changing tutoring and mentoring organization for children and families surrounding Opelousas, Louisiana.
