Atlanta and Los Angeles Further Develop National Supply Chain and 3PL Network

Today, Dupré Logistics announces the expansion of its Strategic Capacity Services (SCS) group with the addition of branch offices in Los Angeles and Atlanta. These branch openings are part of the company’s enhanced strategy to open regional offices while further developing its national intermediary and 3PL network throughout North America to be closer to its customers. These branch offices are allowing for the onboarding of an intermodal service offering company-wide to expand the company’s reach within existing and future markets.

“This expansion is supporting our ongoing growth that is impacting our business both in scope and scale,” said Dupré Logistics CEO Reggie Dupré. He continued, “Through these branch openings, new hires and service expansion, we are investing in people, technology and infrastructure to make this possible.”

Within the next five years, Dupré expects the initial two new branch offices will host in excess of 25 area jobs. The company is planning for additional locations as part of its USA logistics and Mexico and Canada logistics growth.

Mike Weindel, Dupré Vice President of the Strategic Capacity Services Group said, “We are moving quickly to establish our regional branch network and staff with highly experienced professionals on both the sales and operations parts of our business.”

At the helm of the branches is Angelo Byrd, who will serve as General Manager of the SCS Division. Byrd brings over 15 years of proven success in sales, operations, client services and carrier relations. Based in Atlanta, Byrd joins Dupré from previous posts at JB Hunt, ARI Logistics and C.H. Robinson Worldwide.

Newly named Branch Manager for the Los Angeles office is Carl Barata. Barata brings over 25 years of logistics management and sales experience to his role in growing the Dupré SCS group nationwide and throughout North America. He has most previously worked with COFC Logistics, USA Truck, and DHL (formerly Exel Logistics).
